In Spring of 2019, we lost Gavin’s father to spinal cancer. He was able to pass in the comfort of my sister-in-laws home and his attending doctor was an extraordinary woman who not only works as a doctor all day, making house calls, she is also a mom and helps direct a local children’s facility in Guyana. Ruimveldt Children’s Center of Guyana currently has 70 children, all in need.
