Meditation for Kids Summer Session

Meditation for Kids Summer Session: Each week we will focus on a new form of meditation, from coloring a mandala, yantra gazing, movement, mala, breathing, guided, body scanning and so on. These classes will be a short and fun 30-minutes which will include a little movement to release the wiggles and 11-minutes of meditation. This is an introduction to meditation to show that everyone can meditate.

The emphasis with this series is both an introduction on a variety of paths to stilling the mind and in a fun lighthearted way in an effort to make it peasant and enjoyable. The aim is to create a sense of fondness towards the practice. To help with that, after class the students will get to grab a treasure from the treasure box which will contain small things that will appeal to a variety of ages. And the last class of the series will be a popsicle party and each student will receive a Certification of Completion.

who: kids age 5 – 16, parents & siblings are more than welcome to join in, too!
